Project YaREN ammonia plant rejected by the Ingleside City Council

Project YaREN has been defeated! After seven hours of public testimony at the Ingleside City Council meeting last night, with the overwhelming majority of residents testifying against the proposed ammonia plant, a motion by Council Member Tracy Long to advance the project received no second.

Congratulations to the residents of Ingleside and surrounding communities who showed up to make their voice heard! This victory over Enbridge and Yara’s plan to build a dirty, dangerous ammonia plant in Ingleside’s back yard is PROOF that when communities organize and fight back against polluters, they can win!
