Here's how much Corpus Christi has spent on marketing desalination

The City of Corpus Christi has spent approximately $123,000 of taxpayer money on an advertising campaign focused in large part on promoting the proposed Inner Harbor desalination plant.

The expenditure sparked debate among City Council members, with Council Member Sylvia Campos labeling it “a terrible waste of money” and Council Member Gil Hernandez expressing concern that the one-sided messaging amounted to propaganda.
